Maria holds a degree in Journalism from Jaume I University in Castellón, and she spent part of her studies in the United States and Germany. She also earned a Master’s degree in International Political Journalism and a postgraduate diploma in Humanitarian Aid. She worked in Brussels for seven years, where she began her professional career in communications within NGOs and European institutions.
For five of those years, she worked in the communications unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, first as Social Media Manager and later as Events Manager. In May 2024, she joined Oceana as a Social Media Specialist, ensuring Oceana in Europe maintains a strong online presence. She develops and executes the social media strategy in Europe, aligning it with campaign needs and supporting broader communications objectives. Her role also includes content creation and management across platforms, including visual design and video editing. She speaks Spanish, English, French, and Catalan.
