Communications Department Volunteer
Oceana Europe seeks a volunteer to be part of our Communications Department in the Madrid office (European Headquarter).
Main responsibilities
To look for Oceana Europe’s media hits in online media using Internet search engines.
To enter our media hits in the Oceana’s international database and Excel sheets for internal reports and statistics.
To update our international journalists database.
Other tasks
The candidate will help in translating written materials produced by the department when necessary.
The candidate could be asked to help in writing contents for social media (blog entries, etc.).
The candidate will be able to create short videos for social media.
He / she must be ready to help in other tasks (preparation of press kits, organising of press conferences logistics, etc.).
Qualifications
Studies in journalism, communications, marketing or similar.
Knowledge of English and Spanish (spoken and written). Other European language highly desirable.
We are looking for a motivated person with good communications skills. The candidate will be working in a multicultural and multi organizational environment.
Additional information
Part time position (from 10 am till 2 pm / from 3.30 pm till 6:30 pm. Fridays until 5 pm). Three days a week.
This is a volunteer, unpaid position. Oceana will only pay transportation.
