Communications Department Volunteer
Oceana Europe seeks a volunteer to be part of our Communications Department in the Madrid office (European Headquarter) LEGANITOS 47, MADRID.
Principle responsibilities
To look for Oceana Europe’s media hits both in off and online media using internet search engines and other tools.
To insert our media hits in the Oceana’s international database and excel sheets for internal reports and statistics.
To update our international journalist database.
Other tasks
The candidate will help in translation to other languages of written materials produced by the department to other languages, when necessary.
The candidate could be asked to help in writing contents for Social Media (blog entries, Facebook, etc.).
He /s he must be ready to help in other tasks (preparation of press kits, organising of press conferences logistics, etc.).
Qualifications
Studies in journalism, communications, marketing or similar.
Knowledge of English and Spanish (spoken and written). Other European language highly desirable.
We are looking for a motivated person with good communications skills. The candidate will be working in a multicultural and multi organizational environment.
Additional information
Part time position (from 9:30 am till 2 pm / from 3 pm till 6:30 pm. Fridays until 5 pm).
This is a volunteer position. Oceana will only pay transportation.
