LIFE+ INDEMARES

Today was very hot, the seas were calm and there was barely any breeze. We were so hot rolling and unrolling the umbilical cord on the Oceana Ranger’s deck that we threw various buckets of sea water over our heads.

We did two dives in areas where the seabeds were mainly muddy. The most important discovery was a deep sea coral forest that had been completely destroyed by abandoned fishing lines. Just to give you an idea, it was like a campground flooded with garbage. This gives us an idea of how urgently this area must be protected.

We return to land very sad… and also, very red! Both of us would like to repeat the experience.
