It’s been over 40 days since the expedition began. Today, a few of us met at our “movie theater” after the day’s work and we talked about how it felt like we had been here forever. It's as if we’ve always known each other and there’s no world beyond the Neptune and its horizon. But at the same time, we realized that time has flown by and that what seemed so long away at first has started to barrel towards us like a runaway train: the end of the campaign. I think this is a clear reflection of what life is like at sea, intense but rewarding every day. Values like friendship, respect, honor and fellowship find their fullest expression on board. Some people have already left and are missed, others have arrived to bring a fresh change to our days, others are set to leave soon and the rest will return home at the end of the campaign to continue on with their lives. But they’ll no longer be the same, this experience will remain with them and I am sure that this campaign will result in great friendships, many that will last a lifetime. Now, however, it’s time to focus on the present: there are still days of hard work ahead and we have to get the maximum performance out of our equipment.

This is my last entry so we’ll see each other the next time around. Remember, even when things get tough, you should never forget to look at the sea.
