After having to abort the immersions due to problems with the ROV, as we had described a few days ago, we got back to the task of filming this underwater mountain in front of Murcia.

During previous expeditions, when we had recorded the immense biodiversity that would call for the declaration of protected marine area in the region, we had retrieved numerous samples from this mountain, given its wealth of benthic and pelagic communities. This time around, now with an ROV that would allow us to reach greater depths than on previous expeditions, we undertook three immersions of up to 600 meters, whereby we came upon previously undocumented species, such as the long-living clock-fish (Hoplostethus mediterraneus), fork beards (Phycis blennoides) or rattails (Coelorinchus coelorinchus), the gorgonia Bebryce mollis, the holothuria Stichopus tremulus and many more.
