Port of Palma de Mallorca. 1001 failures.
In the end, the ROV rupture was more complex than we had thought. That is why we were not able to go out last night toward the mountains as we had planned. Many hours have been necessary to solve numerous failures that have been coming up as different parts of the ROV were checked. They have practically completely taken it apart and checked each one of its components like cameras, plates, cables and connectors.
It seems that a small water leak, tiny, may have caused, after so many hours of submersion and some moisture, the connection problems that made us lose the image right in the middle of a submersion. We performed a test in the port itself -completely green water and muddy bottom- and it seems that everything is working properly. So we got everything ready to go out at last, calculating that there are 6 hours of sailing to Ausias March (almost 50 nautical miles at about 8 knots). At midnight we will get going to be at the point first thing in the morning and start working as soon as possible. We have to make the most of the campaign days left
