Finally, after checking the weather again and again, it seemed that there was a little window of opportunity to make our passage from Norway to Denmark (around 100 nm). That was our best chance, since, according to the forecast, Friday afternoon will get worse again. So yesterday night we secured everything as best as we could, just in case we still have the wind and waves hammering against the boat. So, this morning, at 6:00 a.m., the engines of our floating home got to work and we finally left rainy (but beautiful) Norway behind. It is really surprising how weather can be so unstable, going from hurricane-like weather to complete calm in just a few hours!

Once we got to Jutland Bank, we decided to make the most out of the day and successfully completed 2 ROV dives and 5 grabs. The sea bottom here is sandy and shallow, just like in the other banks, when we started the expedition. These big banks are mostly used for fishing, but there are also some Natura 2000 protected areas.

This is my last diary since I will be leaving the Neptune in a few days, although the expedition still continues with a lot of sampling ahead. I would like to say a big thanks to all the people who have helped me during these challenging days. I am sure that the North Sea Campaign is in good hands.
