Almerimar Port (Almeria). Loading the ROV
The ROV technicians arrived early this morning. We’ve loaded and prepared both the robot and its material, including a new high definition camera that will allow us to improve the quality of the images we take.
We spent the whole day loading and placing this equipment. This year, like others, the ship’s crew is made up of 13 people, including the captain, sailors, a logistics director, a campaign director, biologists, divers and the ROV technicians. This is the minimum number of people necessary to carry out this expedition, during which we’ll use the divers to go down up to 40m and the ROV after this, to document and describe marine areas that should be protected.
